Abdallah Schleifer to Participate in Nov. 10 Panel in D.C. on Engaging the Muslim World

FPRI Senior Fellow S. Abdallah Schleifer will participate in a panel discussion, “Changing Course and A Common Word: Two Important Initiatives for Bridging with the Muslim World,” to be held 2 – 3 PM Monday, Nov. 10. The discussion is sponsored by the Middle East Institute; other panelists include Thomas Dine and Robert Fersh. Thomas Dine is Principal, The Dine Group, and was Executive Director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC). Robert Fersh is U.S.-Muslim Engagement Project Co-Director and Executive Director, Search for Common Ground-USA, Washington, DC. FPRI Senior Fellow Rens Lee at Kennan Institute

FPRI Senior Fellow Rens Lee will be a short-term fellow at the Kennan Institute starting January 2009, working on the project “Evaluating U.S.-Russian Nuclear Security Cooperation.” Dr. Lee’s short piece, “Engaging Cuba,” appears in the Nov./Dec. issue of Foreign Affairs.
